Senior UX Designer
Swindon
Upto £40,000 DOE + benefits
Rocking Zebra Recruitment is looking for a Senior UX Designer to join a leading organisation based in Swindon.
Our client is a leading supplier, specialising in the design and development of innovative software solutions. Working within an established UX team and working closely with Product and Marketing teams, you will be responsible for the on-going development of a number of operational websites and applications.
You will design, develop and maintain the look and feel of the applications, user journeys and workflows - so that the technological and functional goals of the business are achieved. You will also input to the user experience and ensure that the sites are modern and engaging.
Role Responsibilities:
- Planning and development lifecycle for each website
- Analyse, plan and design appropriate solutions to meet the ‘customer’ requirements
- Responsible for the amendment, creation and maintenance of the layout, visual appearance and usability of key transactional websites
- Requirement gathering and interacting with Stakeholders and Management
- Take part in discussion sessions to produce different design concepts
- Produce designs using a variety of tools, be that: HTML, CSS, Photoshop, illustrator, Sketch, XD etc.
- Testing – usability, multi-browser and user acceptance
- Liaison with project stakeholders (including 3rd parties)
- Look for, suggest and champion suitable process improvement initiatives
- Mentoring junior members of the UX team
- Practical experience of modern digital design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, XD or similar)
- Portfolio showing strong, - primarily digital - design skills
- Strong Typographic and page layout skills
- Knowledge of usability and accessibility best practices
- Practical experience with HTML and CSS
- Good communication and time management
- Enthusiastic and ambitious
- Clear and effective communicator and ability to justify and defend your design decisions
- Ability to analyse, understand and research user problems and propose effective solutions
- Experience creating interactive design prototypes (using PowerPoint, HTML, XD or similar)- desirable
