Our goal is to treat the personal information you provide to us with the utmost respect, and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information about you may be collected, used to support you finding new employment, to continue our relationship once we have found you new employment, providing you with a service, receiving a service from you, using your data to ask for your assistance in relation to one of our candidates, visiting our website or disclosed as a consequence of your activities on this Site. By accessing, using and/or downloading materials from or sending or posting materials to this Site, you agree on your own behalf and on behalf of each entity on whose behalf you act, to the terms of this Privacy Policy and to the practices for the collection, use or disclosure of your personal information as described here.  This Privacy Policy applied to the personal data of our website, users, candidates, clients, suppliers, partners and other people whom we may contact in order to find out more about our candidates and the services they have requested.

What Information Do We Collect? Anonymous browsing

The main reason for using your personal details is to help you find employment suitable for you.  The more information we have about you, your experiences, skills and your career ambitions, the more bespoke we can make our service for you.  Where appropriate and in accordance with local laws and requirements, we may also use your personal data for things like marketing, profiling and diversity monitoring. Where appropriate, we will seek your consent to undertake some of these activities. 

Primarily we will share your information with prospective employers to increase your chances of securing the job you want.  This information may be shared with various parties, in various ways and for various reasons.  Unless you specify otherwise, we may also share your information with any of our group companies where we feel this will help us to provide you with the best possible service. 

If we have not engaged in meaningful contact with you for:-  (Marketing candidates 5 years, Sales candidates 2 years and Operational candidates 2 years) we will delete your personal data from our systems unless we believe in good faith that the law or other regulation requires us to retain it, for example, our obligations to tax authorities.
We will share client data primarily to ensure that we provide you with an appropriate qualified selection of candidates.  Unless you specify otherwise, we may share your information with any of our group companies to help us meet these services.

If you are a client of Rocking Zebra Limited, we need to collect and use information about you or individuals at your organisation as part of the process of delivering the services of finding candidates who are right for your organisation. 

If you are a supplier of Rocking Zebra Limited, we need information to ensure the services run smoothly.  This will include contact details relevant to the services provided and other relevant information which may include payment details if appropriate.

At times, we also conduct on-line surveys to better understand the needs, profiles, and experience of our visitors. You will be given the option to participate in such surveys. Unless you request to receive the results of the survey via email, no personal information is requested during such surveys and all information is used on an aggregated basis only. If, during the registration process, you indicate you would like us to keep you updated on new site developments and information about our services or about offerings from Rocking Zebra Limited, we will send you these updates by email.

CV Collection

As part of the services we provide, you may choose to provide us with your CV, to be viewed by our consultants and staff members who access this Website.  CV’s can also be collected from third parties such as employment job boards.  In addition to the provisions of this Privacy Policy, the collection, use and distribution of your CV is governed by the Terms & Conditions of Use.

How Do You Access And Update Your Personal Information?

Your personal information is located on a server(s) operated by Purple Penguin Media Limited. Rocking Zebra Limited provides you with the means to access, update, edit or delete the Registration Information and other personal information you have provided to us at any time on your own by going to your user account and changing or deleting your Registration Information and other personal information as desired.

If you decide at any time that you do not want to receive any updates you have subscribed for just send an email message to julian@rockingzebra.com indicating your preference not to receive updates. If you are unsure whether we have a record containing your personal information and would like to confirm whether or not we do, please send an email to julian@rockingzebra.com indicating all email addresses which you may have given us. 

You have the right at any time to ask us for a copy of the information supplied by you we hold.  We may ask you to verify your identity and for more information about your request.  If you would like to make a request for information, please contact julian@rockingzebra.com. 

You have the right to transfer your data if you wish, from us to another data controller.  We will support either by directly transferring your data for you, or by providing you with a copy in a commonly used format.

You have the right to be forgotten asking us to stop using your information.  If you would like to make a request to be forgotten, please contact julian@rockingzebra.com.  We will respond to your request within 30 days (although we may be allowed to extend this period in certain cases) and will only disagree with you in certain limited conditions.  If we agree to your request, we will delete your data, but, will generally assume you would prefer us to keep a note of your name on our systems of candidates who would prefer not to be contacted.  This way, we will minimise the chances of you being contacted in the future where your data is collected in unconnected circumstances.  If you would prefer us not to do this, please do say so.

You have the right to object.  If we are using your data which we deem is necessary for our legitimate interests to perform the services requested, and you do not agree, you have the right to object.  We will respond to your request within 30 days (we may be allowed to extend this period in some cases).  We will only disagree if certain limited conditions apply. 
In the event we are legally required to hold your file, for example, tax matters or financial matters, we will provide the reasons for this.

How Is Your Personal Information Secured And Protected?

Where Rocking Zebra Limited considers it appropriate, Rocking Zebra Limited uses encryption and/or authentication tools among other methods to protect certain web-based personal information. E-mails you send us are not necessarily secure when they are transmitted to us. Privacy Policy With Respect To Use Of CVs

As part of the services Rocking Zebra Limited provides, you are able to post your CV on our website. This section of Rocking Zebra Limiteds general Privacy Policy applies to the use of your CV by Rocking Zebra Limited.

CVs are accessed by our consultants who seek to find you employment with third parties ("Third Parties"). Consultants are not permitted to disclose information outside our organization or beyond the Third Party, as applicable. Recruiters are also required to have entered into an agreement with Third Parties that requires such Third Parties to use your CV solely for the purpose of filling a job within the Third Party for which the information was provided and not disclosing your CV outside the organization. However, although Rocking Zebra Limited deals only with reputable organizations, we cannot guarantee that all Employers and Third Parties will adhere to the limitations we impose on them. If at any time you would like your CV removed from our Website, you may do so by using the "delete CV" function.

Some job postings which are posted on the Rocking Zebra Limited Site allow you to follow links to where you can apply, and provide your CV, for a specific job posting. In some cases, such applications are still within the Rocking Zebra Limited Site and its control. If you are not asked to login using your Rocking Zebra Limited Registration User ID and password, however, then both the application process, and your CV are outside the Rocking Zebra Limited Site and Rocking Zebra Limited's control. In such cases you will be providing your CV directly to the Employer or Recruiter and your CV will be subject to their privacy policy. Rocking Zebra Limited is not responsible for the privacy practices of such Employer or Recruiter. In such cases, we encourage you to review the Employer or Recruiter's privacy policy.

Although we use all reasonable means to protect your personal information, Rocking Zebra Limited is not responsible for any improper use of your personal information that is beyond our reasonable control.

Your CV when uploaded is converted in to various formats for our use only. These conversions are handled by an external datacentre server stack and local encrypted servers.  Once conversion is complete your CV is then automatically deleted from that service. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, the data company have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information. We may disclose your information if necessary to protect our legal rights or if the information relates to actual or threatened harmful conduct or potential threats to the physical safety of any person. Disclosure may be required by law or if we receive legal process. If these servers are breached, we are not responsible for this and cannot be held liable.
