Import/Export Logistics Coordinator
Swindon- with hybrid home and office working
Salary- £25,000-£28,000 DOE
12 month FTC
Rocking Zebra Recruitment is looking for an experienced Import/Export Logistics Coordinator to join a leading and growing business based in central Swindon.
You will play a pivotal role in the day to admin and system management of movement of products internationally, working closely with multiple internal departments, suppliers and customers.
You will be living in Excel as you monitor stock levels, costings, budgets, technical data sheets and product codes; so you must be a confident and competent user with v look ups and pivots.
Key responsibilities….
- Working closely with internal depts (finance, marketing etc) as well as suppliers & customers to ensure the smooth movement of products internationally (both import and export from the UK)
- Administrating purchase orders for certain Far East, European & UK suppliers
- Incoming logistics for imports, liaison with freight and haulage companies. Processing invoices, booking in overseas deliveries, calculating freight uplifts
- Export administration - including export order processing, arranging documentation for freight forwarders, shipping confirmations, packing lists, Dangerous Goods Notes, and other export documentation
- Maintaining post-Brexit import and export systems / procedures, working with management and operations
- Email correspondence with UK and overseas suppliers as needed
- Forecasting Amazon FBA stock requirements on a weekly basis, working with Ecommerce Manager, and administration of Amazon FBA stock movements
- Maintaining technical data sheets and product specifications. Producing purchase orders, ensuring products are with correct commodity codes etc.
- Monitoring haulier costs and working with management to ensure the business is getting the best freight rates
- Organising return of faulty stock to suppliers, where needed
To be considered…
- Experience in a similar Import, Export, Logistics role
- Experience of working within a similar role, ideally within an SME
- Must be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
- Analytical and numerate with an eye on costs and stock analysis
- Sound IT skills required – MS Office with strong Excel skills essential- v look up, pivot table knowledge
- Confident communicator at all levels, with good literacy
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and run a project
