The Internal Communications and Engagement Partner is an important role within the business, with responsibility for developing, managing, and implementing appropriate colleague communications, to support a broad range of colleague communications including people led projects and programmes.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the HR team and wider business to develop and implement a joined up internal communications strategy and plan to support and drive the corporate colleague engagement action plans.
This is a hybrid role with offices based in Swindon, we will ideally be looking for the successful candidate to be based in the office 2-3 days a week, with the option to work from home the remainder of the time.
Overview
- Effective deployment of a wide variety of impactful communications internally, using a variety of media and resources. These communications will be required to support business goals and drive a strong internal culture and increase levels of colleague engagement and be relatable to all colleagues.
- Responsibility for the efficient deployment of creative content and messages, internally, consistent with company guidelines of presentation and tone. This will require the day-to-day management of the internal communications plan, and close interaction with the HR team.
- Provide communications support across the business, and coach them in the effective delivery of departmental communications, including the development and implementation of re-useable templates and content where relevant.
- Work closely with the Chief People Officer and HR Business Partners, as well as, engagement and inclusions champions, to drive people engagement through internal communication.
- This is a partnering role, with responsibility for leading the shape of communications planning and delivering strong, effective content.
- You will be responsible for internal communications plan – effectively and efficiently deploying messages internally, across a range of appropriate channels
In addition, you should be:
- 5+ years proven internal communications marketing experience, preferably within Financial Services marketing.
- Experience of developing and implementing communications strategies either in the financial services or other regulated industries.
- Experience of thought leadership, in financial services.
- Understanding of a range of internal communications channels and how internal communications supports HR and commercial goals.
- Experience leading and managing high performing individuals, directly or through ‘virtual’ teams.
- CIM Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in engagement and/or change management, with a strong ability to lead and motivate team and implement change.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Proven copy writing and supplier management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
