Duties and responsibilities:
- Supporting the creation and managing they delivery of internal communication activities and channels that could include newsletters, blogs, vlogs, podcasts, virtual events and meetings, physical events, online content, posters and other printed collateral
- Create, proofread and publish content ensuring ease of access and providing clarity and consistency of messages
- Supporting the maintenance and development of internal communications channels, such as the intranet and new platforms in development to ensure content is relevant, up to date and accurate
- Advising and supporting colleagues and key stakeholders on internal communication challenges and opportunities – offering suitable, engaging, achievable and measurable solutions
- Manage the network of communication champions across the business to ensure they have the appropriate skills and support to develop, deliver and share communications locally
- Coordinate activity with members of the Marketing and Communications team – look for opportunities to align with external activity and to improve engagement with colleagues
- Develop an understanding and awareness of the internal communication needs within the business. This will involve liaison with colleagues as well as various teams to understand changes and potential implications for internal communications
- Support the delivery of the employee engagement survey
Experience and skills:
Experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience in PR, Communications or Marketing
- A strong understanding and passion for communications
- Demonstrable experience of supporting the delivery and creation of internal communication plans
- Measuring effectiveness of internal communications activity
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Not essential but video editing and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud would be a big tick!
Skills:
- Good written and verbal communications skills with great spelling and grammar
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Creativity – able to come up with engaging, visual solutions to communication challenges
- Experience of writing, designing and publishing content on digital channels
- Confident and able to advise and work alongside others
- Organised and able to meet deadlines and prioritise workload
- Flexible approach to work
- Enthusiasm for communications and an understanding of audiences and their needs
- Managing and understanding survey data and analytics
