You be directly responsible for managing all product data inside the businesses product data management systems. This will include liaising with internal departments (and in some instances external suppliers) to ensure all product information detail is correctly set-up so that items can be smoothly traded across multiple channels.
Key role responsibilities:
- To ensure products for all brands are set up in a timely and accurate manner so they can be sold through multiple channels. This will include:
- Creating products that are available to sell
- Creating & managing seasonal product personalisation requirements
- Creating & updating suppliers
- Creating product offers
- Fixing unorderable products and answering product data queries
- Ensuring product collections (or kits) contain the right products and quantities
- Fixing general product issues
- Carrying out line by line code and price checks - artwork vs data systems to ensure all items in catalogue have the correct information ahead of print date and advising the business of any issues.
- Be the point of contact for product issues across the business, assisting Retail, Merchandising. Supply Chain, Customer Services, Returns, Ecommerce, Production, Warehouse, QC, IT & Buying with any data issues they may have.
- Ultimately gaining a knowledge of the SQL database language to enable the quick querying of our databases in order to answer business wide questions.
What we are looking for:
- Strong MS Excel skills (i.e. able to create formula’s, pivot tables and graphs) – or a strong desire to learn
- Technically literate and eager to learn technologies (SQL for instance) relevant to developing the job role
- Any commercial experience of working within the retail sector would be a strong advantage
