Buyer
Devizes
Upto £30k DOE
Rocking Zebra Recruitment is looking for a Buyer to join an established and award winning business based on the edge of Devizes.
My client is looking to appoint a new Buyer to work across a key category, keeping up-to-date with current trends, developing new ranges, tracking competitor activity and ensuring the offering is unique, exciting and commercial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation for range reviews, including understanding analysis and trends, managing wish lists and sourcing new products, under the direction of the Managing Director and Buying Manager
- Ensure Buying Sheets are set up and completed ready for handover in line with the critical path
- Be aware of competitor activity and market trends
- Ensure sell prices are competitive and margins are in line with company targets
- Develop relationships with key hardware suppliers
- Work closely with the merchandising team to ensure good stock availability
- Work closely with the web marketing team to ensure products are merchandised effectively and accurately online
- Assist with photo-shoot planning for new ranges
- Line manager to Buying Assistant
Due to location, you will need your own transport.

Skills & Experience:
- experience in a similar buying role, mail order / e-commerce experience would be advantageous
- ability to take direction as well as use initiative, see things through to completion
- good communication and motivation skills
- intermediate excel skills
- be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and ability to work to a critical path
- commercially aware and proactive
- high level of professional integrity and strong sense of responsibility
