Events Executive (virtual and live events)
Newbury
Salary- 25k-30k
We are looking for an experienced Events Executive to join an established Marketing Agency, working with high profile clients, to organise excellent and successful events.
You will be involved with every aspect, from taking the brief and venue sourcing to planning and evaluating success afterwards.
The ideal candidate is confident, well-organised and highly motivated. Someone with excellent communication skills and attention to detail, as well as enthusiasm and passion for the job.
The goal is to organise unforgettable events that will ensure the entertainment of participants and facilitate the completion of business objectives.
The day to day…
- Proactively managing incoming enquiries via phone and email
- Follow up on all new leads/ enquiries to convert and increase revenue
- Understand requirements for each event – taking detailed event briefs
- Plan event with attention to financial and time constraints
- Book & plan with venues and suppliers throughout the planning process
- Venue visits to ensure maintained high standards
- Research vendors (catering, decorators, musicians etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost
- Maintain contact with clients regularly
- Liaise with venues and suppliers throughout the planning process
- Virtual event platform management
- Create event briefs for the design team to create into proposals
- Event management onsite at venues when required - Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g., tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards
- Manage event marketing logistics alongside the marketing team (landing pages, evites / invitations etc.)
- Carry out post event debrief calls with clients, evaluating the event’s success and submit reports
To be considered…
- Proven experience as event coordinator
- A proven track record of organising successful events
- A willingness to travel and be flexible with travel
- Able to comfortably work autonomously but also collaboratively
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent client management skills
- Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
- Well-organised with multi-tasking skills and able to handle pressure and remain calm
- Problem-solving ability
- An interest in other areas of the business will also be beneficial
