Senior Buyer
Swindon
£30,000 - £38,000 DOE
Rocking Zebra Recruitment is looking for a Senior Buyer to join an established and award winning business based on the edge of Swindon.
My client is looking to appoint a new Senior Buyer to work across 2 key categories, keeping up-to-date with current trends, developing new ranges, tracking competitor activity and ensuring the offering is unique, exciting and commercial. This role also includes travelling throughout seasonal periods, to view trials as well as attending industry shows and events. In addition you will also work closely with the Web and Customer Service teams to assist with the content posted on the website and on social media.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the wish list, produce analysis and range plans for all categories
• Produce detailed planning schedules for the range review process, in line with the company critical path and seasonality of ranges
• Lead range review presentations for sign off
• Manage the buying assistants through range review process
• Be responsible for ensuring all product details are recorded and maintained accurately, and that sell prices / margins are in line with company targets
• Manage photo shoot process from start to finish following each range sign off: including shot list, brief, samples, location / set requirements
• Ensure any external photography is on-brand, collate images for sign off, and arrange alternative photography if not approved
• Work with the Buying Assistants to optimise the supply base and build good relationships with key suppliers
• Identify competitor analysis and assist Buying Assistants in producing analysis
• Lead the Buying Assistants in providing product information to the warehouse and customer services for all new lines/ranges
• Take the brief for product development projects; co-ordinating the timeline according to brief, manage to completion
• Monitor QC issues and follow up actions needed with suppliers / warehouse
Due to location, you will need your own transport.
