My client is a leading brand name with a fantastic reputation. If you are an experienced buyer (5+ years) with an interest in Culture, Art, History & Heritage then this opportunity is a piece of you!
Working across 2 key brands, the Homewares & Gift Buyer will develop & implement a buying strategy, gaining a deep understanding of the customer & brand values.
You will manage a diverse supplier base across the UK & internationally whilst keeping an eye out on new manufacturers.
Pivotal will be your commercial awareness and understanding of all numbers; you will be negotiating, analysing & forecasting on all performance, costings, budgets & margins to ensure profitability in meeting sales targets.
You will be line managing a very capable Buying Assistant, so your leadership, mentoring & communication skills will be key; easy, with all the previous experience you have!
To be considered…
· 5+ years of working within a retail head office Buying position
· Experience of working with similar categories & products
· An effective communicator, commercially aware & a creative ideas person
