Rocking Zebra Recruitment is looking for a Practice Lead to technically lead the pre sales activity for the deployment of data analytics and machine learning across cloud based technology platforms. With offices across the UK, smart working is offered with this position to attract best in class candidates.
If you live and breathe Data Analytics and Machine Learning, we want to talk to you. We are looking for an Analytics and Data System Architecture expert who is passionate about helping organisations do more with their mission-critical data.
A strategic Practice Lead role, you will be the go to technical expert for all pre sales and existing client meetings exploring the utilisation of cloud based platform technology adoption for analytics and other mission critical solutions based in the cloud.
You will be working with some of the biggest brands in the UK at senior level, acting as a trusted advisor. It is likely you come from a large consultancy background or similar lead position within cloud based technology.
Overview
- Develop a compelling Analytics and Machine Learning strategy and develop propositions that leverage industry experience
- Support the sales team with expert customer guidance on operationalising Analytics and ML, mapping requirements to best-in-class implementation, selecting the most appropriate technology, and evaluating non-functional attributes such as security, usability, and stability
- Provide proactive support to customers and prospects to ensure their successful adoption of cloud and partner technology
- Build and maintain executive relationships with customers, influence long-term strategic direction, and act as a trusted advisor to ensure retention and growth in spend
- Manage multiple opportunities through the entire business cycle simultaneously, working with cross-functional teams as necessary
- Be able to travel as required by the business
- Be required to generate proposals built and focused around identified business needs
- Manage a team of Data Analytics and ML Experts, driving revenue and utilisation targets
- Deliver presentations internally and externally regarding the Analytics value propositions
- Create blog posts and white papers to promote our brand and help cement our position as a leader in the field.
In addition, as the Practice Lead you should be:
- 10+ years of experience in the complex aspects of information management, data analytics and ML, from user experience and performance, through security and governance, to platform and infrastructure.
- Team management
- Deep experience in existing Cloud Analytics technologies such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure or similar
- Experience with DBA transitioning to Cloud Technology
- Experience with operational challenges of delivering ML solutions within an enterprise ? Proven ability of conducting rigorous analysis of complex issues
- The gravitas to engage effectively with C-level stakeholders
- Demonstration of consistent overachievement throughout their career
- Excellent communication skills, (experience with writing blogs and white papers is desirable)
- Proven track record in building and selling compelling propositions
- Extensive and strong business acumen with an ability to quickly understand market trends
- Broad understanding of customer needs; business cases and how customers justify analytic spend financially
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise IT clients such as retail, manufacturing, fintech, insuretech and telecoms
- Ability to be comfortable in an agile environment, having worked with agile focused developers, BAs and platform engineers
- Degree-level education (preferable)
