An exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager/Buyer to join a well-established, skilled team responsible for the buying, commercial planning and creative production.
The successful candidate will work closely together with the internal teams to ensure the smooth and successful running of the department and the schedules. The role requires an organised and disciplined individual who can manage the complexities of a multi-layered business and processes.
Creating schedules and ensuring all stakeholders adhere to them will be key to the role, as well as managing the administration for a busy buying team. Dealing with external and internal queries, and directing them to the appropriate person, managing the product set up process, managing internal communications, assisting as required, project management, travel management including costings, holiday requests and attendance management including flexible working arrangements.
Key role responsibilities:
- Create and manage schedules for the buying and production teams, ensuring all deadlines are met in good time.
- Liaise with publishing and merchandising to create a critical path for QC
- Produce monthly board report information for Buying Director.
- Liaise with Merchandising to create the season margin report for review by the Buying Director for each brand.
- Be the first point of contact regarding legislation changes that impact on the buying department and work cross functionally to implement.
- Overseeing the efficient running of the buying department. This will be a senior role within the team.
- Manage the Data Executive to ensure all tasks are being actioned in a timely fashion.
- Arrange and execute a product showcase day to the business.
- Organise, plan and manage any buying projects as required.
- Ensure all paperwork and documentation pertaining to products and suppliers is filed and maintained as necessary.
- Plan, prepare and book all travel, including Far East and domestic if required.
- Manage holiday requests and flexitime requests, as well as staff attendance.
