PR Executive
Chippenham
Upto £25,000 - £30,00 DOE plus benefits
Rocking Zebra Recruitment is looking for a PR Executive to join a leading organisation based in Chippenham.
As PR Executive you will be reporting into the Head of Marketing with responsibility for the development and delivery of news and articles across the organisation. Working within an established marketing team, you will create and deliver stories and articles for use across many channels, closely monitoring the outputs providing PR measurement and reporting on effectiveness and reach.
This is an exciting new opportunity for someone who is currently looking for a new challenge and can bring their PR experience to the team to help make a real impact!
Role Responsibilities
- Producing press releases, news stories, articles, blogs, case studies and media pieces for both PR and online marketing channels
- To act as a point of contact for PR agencies
- Identifying and creating stories which can be used to support the reputation of the business
- Monitor media coverage – record, evaluate, track PR performance to report back to the wider team
- Provide sector reputation activity reports for wider marketing team
Skills & Experience
- Degree educated within English, Media, Marketing, Communications related
- Prior experience working in a PR agency, press office or fast-paced in house B2B marketing environment is preferable (2-3 years), with copywriting at the heart of the role
- Copywriting skills: You need to be hot on spelling, grammar and proof-reading, as well as have an excellent understanding of writing for PR media audiences.
- You need to have excellent written and spoken English
- Strong interpersonal skills, over the phone, by email or in person
- You need to be approachable, friendly and empathetic, and can relate to people on different levels within the company and externally with agencies and Media
- You need to have the confidence to pick up the phone and maintain a positive, friendly and upbeat tone
- Working to tight deadlines, so you need to be able to work quickly and efficiently, without compromising on quality
- You will need to be self-motived and able to work on own initiative whilst being a team player and have the ability and willingness to ‘much in’ and support the wider team as required
