Head of Marketing – London
£attractive plus bonus and benefits
 
Our client’s international divisions continue to expand at pace.  We are now looking for a Head of Marketing to build and run a demand generation and field marketing engine in ROW (rest of world region – primarily Europe). You will deliver marketing sourced pipeline (both direct and through channel partners) in support of the revenue targets of the ROW commercial business.  Out client delivers distributed energy solutions to businesses.
 
The Role:
 
Business & Strategic Planning: transform how we engages and influences buyers in ROW. Identify growth opportunities by creating, executing and enabling a demand generation engine. Work with sales leaders to establish a common language and set clear goals
 
Campaign Planning & Delivery: Working as part of a global team, design/adapt and deliver world class B2B campaigns for customer acquisition, development and retention. Taking an omni-channel and verticalized approach, utilise digital and social marketing to deliver a personalised experience. Work with the Marketing Automation specialist to set up and execute campaigns in the Marketing Automation system
 
Track, Measure and Refine: Accountable for all aspects of campaigns including lead scoring, lead nurturing and reporting across market segments and sector verticals. Track marketing funnel leads to ensure they are accurately progressing through each stage of the demand waterfall and ensure marketing qualified leads (MQLs) are routed to Sales and processed in a timely manner
 
Relationship Management: Build strategic sales, channel and marketing partnerships internally and externally, to move the business forward, managing expectations clearly. Engage with Sales Operations and Sales Teams to measure and optimise lead to opportunity conversion and reporting and measure and monitor sales funnel activity, making recommendations to address coverage gaps
 
Content Marketing: Working with the Head of Brand & Propositions, input to the content Marketing calendar and incorporate into campaign design
 
Campaign and Sales Enablement/Communications
  • Develop campaign materials and toolkits to facilitate Sales teams' understanding of customer needs and ability to spot opportunities for selling Distributed Energy and Power products and solutions
  • Understand and follow DE&P brand standards when developing any materials
  • Identify candidates for customer stories/case studies in ROW and work with the programme lead in the content team to create these
  • Determine the communications strategy for customers/partners in ROW and work with the comms lead to ensure personalised messaging enabled through the marketing automation/content management system
 
Agency and People Management
  • Recruit local resources in key countries (external agencies and suppliers) to deliver field marketing plan
  • Recruit and manage local field marketing managers in countries within ROW region where additional full time resource is required.
 
 
The Person
 
We are looking for you to have strong European B2B marketing experience in the energy sector along with significant experience in digital marketing, including website optimisation for demand generation campaigns, digital tools and social media channels. While being a strong team player, you will also be able to work independently and thrive in a dynamic, flexible environment.   You will ideally, be based in Milan, fluent in Italian and English.
 
You will also have the following experience:
 
  • Focus on driving measurable results aligned to business targets
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills
  • Able to work collaboratively with diverse, multi-location, and geographical teams and partner successfully with Sales management across the region
  • Able to effectively and efficiently work to deadlines and manage multiple projects across the organisation
  • Extensive knowledge of Marketing Automation systems, Salesforce.com and is advanced in their knowledge and use of digital platforms and social media channels
  • Excellent planning programme management and budget management skills
  • Strong communication skills, able to present and explain key findings to engage and influence a range of senior Centrica stakeholders, customers and suppliers
