We are looking for a self motivated, smart and deadline-oriented IT Development Data Scientist to join an exciting business to implement solutions based on advanced database platform and application stack.
The role reports directly to the Head of the Technical team with considerable liaison with colleagues across multiple departments plus with and across clients’ own professional teams.

The successful candidate will:

Develop and maintain marketing database and digital advertising platforms employing and ‘Big Data’ databases (ANSI compliant in memory SQL MPP database) as well as MS SQL, MySQL to
- Set-up ETL processes utilising our extensive suite of data transformation tools
- Set-up automated processes to extract data via multiple interfaces (from simple SFTP file transfer to client specific APIs) from client’s operational platforms
- Integrate with real-time database platforms (CDPs and DMPs)
- Set-up and integrate third party marketing automation software tools including Adobe, Salesforce, Apteco etc)
- Set-up and integrate deployment channel platforms to facilitate promotional communications
- Design and develop KPI reports and dashboards using Excel and BI software tools
Although primarily a development role, it will require a high degree of customer interaction and the successful candidate will be a confident communicator who is able to interact with a range of stakeholders at all levels including Project Managers, Business Analysts and other Marketing and IT Professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Design efficient relational structures to hold and manage data
Design and carry out thorough testing of programs and systems
Translate defined processing rules into efficient program code
Produce comprehensive documentation of programs and systems
Problem solve and identify issues in data and programs
Take briefs and action data manipulation tasks to format, process, transform and integrate data files
Incorporate third party packaged software solutions by calling on functionality through standard APIs and other interfaces
Communicate technical designs, data problems and issues to non technical client and team members
