Rocking Zebra are recruiting for a PR Manager to take forward and implement an exciting UK wide plan to raise the profile for this well-respected consumer brand. The organisation continues to grow and offers a collaborative dynamic environment.
This PR role is a real opportunity to take forward the strategy make it your own and deliver some great messages about the organisation. We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and experienced PR Manager to join its expanding marketing team. A highly-motivated, self-starter is sought to increase public awareness whilst developing an enviable reputation for excellence by creating and executing effective communications and media relations strategies.
Responsibilities:
Develop a media relations strategy, seeking placements in print, broadcast and online media.
Coordinate all public relations activities.
Liaise with the social media team to engage audiences across traditional and new media.
Cultivate new media relationships and contacts within business and industry media.
Manage media enquiries and interview requests.
Create content for press releases, articles, blog and newsletter.
Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results on a monthly basis.
Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising.
Build relationships with thought leaders and influencers to grow client & industry awareness.
Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
Essential Requirements:
3+ years’ experience in PR/media relations/marketing.
Proven track record creating and implementing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level.
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
Strong experience and tactical understanding of social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach.
Desirable:
Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets.
Event planning experience.
Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews.
BA/MA degree in PR, marketing, communications or a related discipline.
Experience working within the financial services sector.
