Our client, an established global business who design, manufacture and distribute high value capital expenditure equipment are looking to hire a new Business Development Manager to lead the sales effort through the channel.
Role overview
Employed by the UK Sales Manager, the candidate will be responsible for growing market share with distributers and installers within the high value capital installation market.
Selling thought distributors their technology solutions into the UK and Irish market via installation companies, specialist automation companies, security companies, fencing and electrical contractors as well as other engineering companies.
Working alongside a technical specialist, you will work with a channel base of approximately 800 across the UK and Ireland marketplace, the role would be to help the channel qualify opportunities, quote the right technology solution for their customer’s application and help close the deal. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities using your network with the channel partner.
The role will require extensive travel throughout the UK. Regular overnight stays will be required to complete the role successfully.
Key Skills required
We are ideally looking for candidates with at least 3 years selling experience within a channel product sales environment. Vertical experience could include; hotels, hospitals and local government organisations. Reporting directly to the UK Sales Manager, the ideal candidate would be someone who wants to get in at the start of a relatively new operation with a solid technology offering and the backing of a large €100M international organisation to help ensure the success of expansion into this business area. The location of the candidate can be anywhere in the UK although ideally close to operations in the South West and North West of England for client demonstration and training.
