Rocking Zebra recruitment is currently recruiting for a Head of Marketing to lead the team responsible for the communication of combined propositions, focusing on creating consistent messaging to the industry and developing strategies and tactics to target specific sectors, businesses and decision makers.
Reporting to the board, with a dual focus on brand-building and lead generation this is an exciting and flexible role, offering the right candidate the ability to create, co-ordinate and execute multi-channel marketing, PR and event-based strategies.
This is a varied role encompassing all marketing activity across all aspects of the business and work towards the integration of marketing with all new business processes. Ultimately, the role of marketing in this environment is the creation and broadcast of a clear, compelling and concise proposition, the success of which is measured on the introduction of new prospects and clients.
Roles responsibilities:
A team of 5 people (skillsets including design, strategy & planning, campaign management and execution)
Marketing strategy and budget to support the new business strategy
Marketing process including pitch process, document templates, and communication guidelines
eCRM programme
Strategic research – creation of content and thought leadership to drive the sales process
Events – internal, partner and client hosted
Content – PR, website, social, internal
Marketing collateral – case studies, photography, bios, document templates, diagrams
Partnerships – e.g. eConsultancy, Forrester, DMA
Group – be the link between Group companies
Manage all 3rd party suppliers
Branding activity
Own the bid management process and ensure this role is performed to a high standard on all pitches and bids of a certain size
Oversee targeted email campaigns designed to drive B2B new business leads
Work with strategic partners to generate leads in addition to your own marketing activity
Be credible in your understanding of our prospects business pains and objectives
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience of B2B marketing
Proven line management experience
Proven experience of working to a formal sales process
Proven experience of managing multiple large scale pitches/bids
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the marketing industry
Development of prospect business cases
Experience of producing high quality, ROI based proposals
Resourceful and capable of remaining calm and decisive under pressure
Proactive, self motivator with ability to work on your own or in a team
Ability to build strong colleague and client relationships
Strong planning and organisational abilities
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail is essential
