Rocking Zebra Recruitment is recruiting for a Public Relations Manager for an amazing brand that has fantastic business growth plans for the next 3 years.
The Public Relations Manager role is to nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness and develop an enviable corporate image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs.
The role is to support the marketing department through the development of the public relations strategy. Animal Friends has a strong charity ethos, and therefore the role will also consist of coordinating and managing the company’s overall charity donations strategy.
Developing a media relations and acquisition campaign strategy by:
· Seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
· Establishing an outreach strategy and program to recruit and maintain a strong industry network of celebrities, journalists, spokespeople, social media influencers and additional opportunities
· Developing relationships with potential spokespeople and celebrities relevant to the brand
· Identifying key journalists in the industry and setting up appropriate networking and press distribution
· Manage all press distribution and identify new opportunities
· Developing a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
· Work alongside acquisition team to identify content producers and appropriate content (blogs, video, etc.)
· Develop campaigns for online sales acquisition as needed
Owning and coordinating all charity, events and trade shows strategy across the UK:
· To support the overall brand strategy and deliver online quotes and sales
· Substantially increase overall brand awareness
Work alongside the Acquisition team to produce a keyword strategy to
· Inform all keyword bidding and social media advertising campaigns
· Prioritize keywords for content production, placement within Landing pages, website development, etc.
· Ensure a strong back-linking strategy to increase page rank, page authority and improve customer sales
Work alongside the SEO and Social Media manager to ensure a strong SEO backlink strategy in place
Key Experience required
- Proven senior experience working as a public relations manager (either agency or client side) OR journalist background will be considered
- Ability to analyse data and provide evidence-based recommendations; Experience in web statistics, marketing and business development
- Experience in reaching out to PR, influencers, content producers to build an influencer and celebrity network of partners
- Knowledgeable about SEO and Social Media channel
- Confidence in meetings and when offering communications advice to colleagues
- Good organisational skills, able to ‘multi-task’, with ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proactive, and able to develop creative ideas
