Working within our SEO and Analytics team you will be a true ‘techie’ who loves technology, can see trends in data and has a good working knowledge of website development.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the SEO manager to formulate and execute client strategy
- Report on website performance reporting to various stakeholders, including campaign tracking and dashboard creation using Google Analytics, Excel or other tools
- Monitoring the technical performance of client sites using enterprise level crawling tools
- Create and regularly update the keyword strategy for all clients
- Work alongside the Content, Social media, and PR team
- Contribute creative campaign ideas for the Content, Social Media and PR team that can then be utilised to help build links and increase organic performance
- Translating client briefs into innovative tracking solutions using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manger
- Liaising with developers for technical recommendations and tagging implementation, including tagging QA
Skills Required
· Degree that demonstrates either strong technical or analytical skills such as computer science, maths, or engineering
· An affinity with new technologies. You would be interested and open to learning new platforms and learning a scripting language
· Proficient in Excel/Google Spreadsheets. In this role, you will be analysing data using pivot tables and formulas such as VLOOKUP
· A keen eye for detail
· Comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines
· Strong analytical skills. Ability to draw conclusions and make actionable recommendations based on the interrogation of data.
· Good communication skills in writing and in person
Skills Desired
· Solid understanding of technical SEO best practice with the ability to problem solve and resolve issues
· Experience with implementation of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, including troubleshooting data capture issues with common JavaScript debuggers
· Experience in project management
· Experience using statistical techniques and/or tinkering with programming languages (JavaScript/SQL/Python/R) would also be extremely beneficial
Bonus Points
· You have passed the GAIQ test!
· You have an understanding of how the web and Google works. I.e. You know what happens when someone presses enter on a browser
