PR & Communications Manager
Trowbridge
£32,000- £38,000 DOE
Rocking Zebra Recruitment is looking for an experienced PR & Communications Manager from FMCG to join a continuously growing business on the edge of Trowbridge.
Due to continued growth my client is looking to strengthen its team with a proactive and enthusiastic PR & Communications Manager to develop brand performance and play a pivotal role in a brand new product development plan.
Role Responsibilities
You will have sole responsible for the PR activity across a number of brands within the UK, working in conjunction with an external agency to design and develop strategy. You will be engaging with key media, journalists and influencers on a regular basis, building relationships, writing creative press releases, responding to requests and planning events when required.
You will be part of the wider marketing team working closely with the brand managers to create relevant campaigns to drive brand awareness, launch NPD and generally increase engagement across all channels. You will also work closely with International distribution partners to ensure they understand the brand communication strategies, monitoring their activity and keeping in regular contact. In addition, you will be responsible for the UK and International brand websites, managing the creation of SEO content, reviewing website performance in each market and reporting on a monthly basis.
Skills & Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in PR, either an agency or in house role within an FMCG business
• Creative writing skills
• Passionate about brand
• Fantastic communication skills and ability to develop relationships with external contacts and internal colleagues
• Social Media experience across all channels (including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)
• Strong analytical skills
• Great organisational skills with the ability to manage several tasks at once
• Excellent level of IT and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Displays pride, energy and ownership in performance of role
• Willing to travel to PR events / agencies etc., therefore flexibility in working hours required
• Team player who enjoys working in a small team and on their own when required, happy to work at all levels
• Self-motivated individual who works on their own initiative
