Rocking Zebra is recruiting for a “top 5 agency” in the Uk. They are looking to appoint an Account Director
The Account Director is a principal senior client contact for the agency and is instrumental in the planning and direction of overall client digital strategy, and mid to long term digital multi-channel campaign strategy. Responsible for leading analysis and planning and subsequently monitoring results
You can make the complex, simple, and sell in new ideas effectively and understand our role in the overall client marketing mix and the inter-relationships between all digital and offline channels. You work hard to stay up to date with digital development and lead evaluation of new innovations and their suitability for your clients. Account planning is a large part of your role.
Winning new business from existing clients and new prospects is a core responsibility. You are able to work alongside the new business and planning departments to identify, plan, deliver and lead incisive and value-added business development projects, and to coordinate new business pitches having identified and qualified the opportunity. You are capable of enthusing and galvanising the wider agency team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the status of campaigns managed by the account management team.
- Developing the skills and expertise of the account management team.
- Senior point of contact for all/designated clients.
- Ensuring all client queries are responded to appropriately and the company is proactively, delivering to client expectations at all times.
- Work closely with all senior staff to manage the flow of data across the business and be aware of, at all times, the tracking, reporting and analysis taking place and the software and systems in place to enable the measurement of media effectiveness.
- Lead client planning and forecasting, helping all teams to develop their analysis and forecasting skill sets.
- Proactively build strong client relationships at mid and senior levels.
- Work with senior team to define and structure medium and long term planning for clients.
- Lead and direct the development of client strategy.
- Actively seek account development opportunities and lead client education.
- Continuously develop knowledge of what is going on in digital media, the web and society, business and culture in general, and lead research in your clients’ business and markets.
- Provide recommendations for our asset development: web site, case studies and social media. Actively participate in our content development and social media strategy.
- Lead new business efforts and meetings as required and the development of new client relationships.
- Network at all events to identify possible new leads.
Key skills and qualities we are looking for include:
· Motivated, enthusiastic and proactive attitude.
· Experience of working within a fast-paced agency environment.
· A passion for the digital space.
· Knowledge of Display, Affiliates, PPC, SEO and Social Media an advantage.
· Analytical approach with strong excel skills.
· Attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ideally an academic degree, science, maths, technology or English based with a minimum 2:1. Science, English or maths ‘A’ levels if not studied to degree level.
