Technical Counter Sales Advisor
Swindon
£18,000-£20,000 DOE + company bonus
Rocking Zebra Recruitment is looking for a Technical Counter Sales Advisor to join a busy distributor based in Swindon.
My client is an established distributor to both domestic and industrial markets, highly regarded within their space! With a diverse product offering and with a high volume of stock managed, my client offers solutions designed and built to their customers specifications. With a fairly recent new corporate brand image matched with implementing a very successful ecommerce offering, my client is going from strength to strength and is looking to bolster their team with new talent!
We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer focussed individual who has initiative and the ability to think commercially! You will be working in a face to face customer environment, understanding customer need and applying your technical ability and product knowledge to assist with technical queries and questions. You will be responsible for responding to any incoming customer calls, processing sales requests and offering advice on products and specifications.
Due to the nature of the role and the business, you will be required to be hands on, working across the warehouse to check stock and select products physically for packaging and shipping.
You will be working on an internal system to keep up to date records of all transactions and requests.
Skills & Experience
This would be the ideal opportunity for someone who is naturally technically minded; perhaps you come from a technical industry, have strong academia in Science and Maths or you have an Electrical/Engineering qualification.
· Previous experience in a customer facing role
· Commercial, switched on and use to applying own initiative
· Technically competent on systems to include MS Excel
· A problem solver, good listener and prepared to roll up your sleeves!
Due to the nature of the role, you will be a driver! Hours – Monday to Friday 8:30 – 5:30 and Saturday 9:00 to 12:00 on rotation.
