Junior Buyer
Cirencester
£18,000-£20,000 DOE
Rocking Zebra Recruitment is looking for a Junior Buyer to join an IT specialist based on the edge of Swindon.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Raising Purchase Orders, progressing Purchase Orders
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers
• Assisting with Order Queries
• Provide administrative support to the purchasing department
• Supporting the buyer/buyers to deliver the strategic and financial plans, from a forecasting and performance perspective
• Supporting the Buying function with administration responsibilities
• Monitoring and reviewing category data to deliver promotional propositions targeted at the customer
• Monitor and review range sales data to support the requirements of the team
• Understanding market and consumer trends by monitoring competitor activity
Skills / Attributes Required
• Positive personality with a strong work ethic
• Good communicator
• Attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills
• Good PC skills & experience with Microsoft packages (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Looking to build / develop a career in Purchasing / Supply Chain
Ideally you will have previous buying experience or have worked within a retail head office. You will have a high level of commercial acumen, a sense of pace and will be tenacious and resilient! You will be a confident communicator, a successful relationship builder and you will have passion to see through any task and challenge the end!
You will be highly organised, have an analytical and logical mind and you will have advanced IT skills particularly in MS Excel.
