Rocking Zebra recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Digital Business Development Executive to join a successful and dynamic organisation based in Swindon
The Position:
As a proactive Digital Business Development Executive for a leading company in Swindon you will be the face of the business – meeting prospective new clients and introducing the company’s services whilst working closely with the Digital Business Consultant and all senior stakeholders in developing sales strategies for the products and services.
Key responsibilities:
Key Duties
- Developing new business relationships, generating and negotiating new income to agreed targets.
- Accountable for lead generation and appointment setting, recording meeting/conversation outcomes as per Company processes and communicating appropriately to relevant Company stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with new business leads and prospective clients to ensure effective positioning of Company products and services, maximising each opportunity.
- Present the Company to potential clients through engaging direct communication in face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and emails.
- Represent the Company at agreed industry events and tradeshows.
- Lead, shape and coordinate the Company Digital Futures events, working with the Senior Management Team.
- Ensure both internal and external communications are timely and report fully, to all Company Stakeholders, on current and forthcoming projects.
- Create engaging presentations with support from in-house teams and deliver effectively.
Required Duties
- Support Company product development and assist with the creation of new sales messages.
- Work collaboratively with New Business Executives to progress lead generation, appointment setting and recording all sales administration within the Company CRM system.
- Create opportunities and subsequently taking briefs effectively. Writing briefs and briefing in the in-house teams to create proposals in response.
- Evaluate responses to brief alongside Digital Business Consultant and senior stakeholders and present with appropriate support to the prospective clients in a timely manner.
- Working closely with all senior team stakeholders to ensure Company resources are managed effectively at all times with regard to the creation of proposals and pitches. Lead or contribute to pitches as required.
- Ensure pre-brief and pitch communications are fully handed over to the Senior New Business and Marketing Manager for context and support pitch documentation coordination as required.
- Accountable for any client proposals, contracts and relevant documentation as required.
- Working closely with the Marketing Team to ensure sales efforts capitalise on marketing activity and feedback relevant information on client appetite for our core messages for inclusion in marketing campaigns.
- Maintain full understanding and working knowledge of issues and developments within the industry.
- Contribute to the company blog with ideas/blog posts as required, in line with topical discussions at events, etc.
- Suggest opportunities for marketing to improve assets/website content/product collateral for sales based on experience at meetings events.
- Continuously develop personal skills via on the job training.
Skills
- Confident negotiator with the ability to ‘close the deal’.
- Works well as part of a team to create proposals and responses to brief.
- Strong communication skills, written, verbal, email, telephone and presentation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong client management skills, with a ‘can do’ approach.
- A background and knowledge of Digital Marketing would be an advantage.
